FREE Field Tour on Streambank Erosion and Restoration Hosted by IRWP

The Illinois River Watershed Partnership invites you to join them for a free field tour to learn about the what, why and how of streambank erosion and restoration. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 20th, 2018, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm at Gibbs’ Ranch, 16734 Old Highway 68, Siloam Springs, AR 727461.
The morning will begin with a presentation by Sandi Formica with the Watershed Conservation Resource Center regarding what’s needed to restore eroded, cut streambanks. Pam Nelson with the NWA Land Trust will then speak about how to permanently protect that investment through land conservation.
These morning presentations will be followed by lunch (included) and a field tour of the Gibbs’ property to see the results of a major restoration that was installed on their streambank.
