Professionals Invited to Participate in EPA Region 6 Stormwater Conference

The EPA Region 6, in partnership with the San Antonio River Authority, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s), and States in R6, is inviting stormwater professionals to participate in the 19th Annual EPA Region 6 Stormwater Conference that will be held in San Antonio Texas on September 17-21, 2017.

Presentation tracks include:

  • Stormwater Management Programs (Phase 1 & 2);
  • Sustainability, Green Infrastructure & Low Impact Development;
  • Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL’s) and Watershed Protection;
  • Best Management Practices (BMP) Case Studies – Construction, Industrial, and/or MS4;
  • Construction & Industrial Stormwater Management;
  • Advanced Research Topics & Innovative Technologies; and
  • Public and Private Partnerships.

The deadline to submit an abstract for presentations is May 29, 2017.

This Conference informs and educates stormwater professionals on various controls that can address stormwater pollution discharges to surface waters. The Conference encourages meaningful participation from communities and local stakeholders.

Founded in 1964, the AWRC engages with students by supporting student research and providing employment opportunities. The AWRC also operates a water quality laboratory where water samples are analyzed for researchers, students, and the public.
