Register Now for the SEC Academic Conference – “The Future of Water”

Early-bird registration ends February 15th for the 2017 SEC Academic Conference, themed “The Future of Water”, but regular registration continues through March 26th. The conference will be held March 27-28 at Mississippi State University.

As part of the Southeast Conference, researchers and students from Arkansas are encouraged to participate in this regional conference.

“This is a great opportunity to meet with people and learn how other states are dealing with similar water resources issues that we’re facing in Arkansas,” said Brian Haggard, Director of the Arkansas Water Resources Center and Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the U of A.

One of the most urgent challenges facing the Southeast and the nation today is ensuring an adequate supply and quality of water for human consumption, industry, agriculture, tourism, environment, and quality of life.

The SEC Academic Conference is designed to stimulate communication and collaboration across the states, with the goal of fostering sustainable water resource management.
