Richard Lowrance to Speak about Nonpoint Source Pollution Control

Dr. Richard Lowrance will present a lecture titled “Managing Riparian Ecosystems for Nonpoint Source Pollution Control” on November 2 at the University of Arkansas. The lecture is a part of the Biological and Agricultural Engineering department seminar series.

Dr. Lowrance is the senior adviser for nutrient management and HABs (harmful algal blooms) at the National Risk Management Research Lab with the Environmental Protection Agency. Lowrance and his colleagues conduct research focused on remediating degraded sites and restoring ecosystem services. They also provide technical assistance to landowners who want to help protect water quality.

The lecture is open to the public and will be held on November 2, 2018 at the University of Arkansas in White (Engineering) Hall room 307 from 10:45-11:45 am.
